Don’t Be Left In The Dark (Or Heat) This Hurricane Season!
The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season is well underway and NOAA is predicting an above-normal season. As Floridians, and Americans, in the midst of a global pandemic those are not the predictions we want to hear right now. However, we must prepare.
At HTI, we can ensure when the next hurricane strikes you’ll have a backup power plan. We offer small and large generator options best suited to what your family needs. Here are a few options we offer:
Option 1: Interlock Generator Kit
This is an inexpensive and easy option to connect your generator to your electrical panel.
How it works:
The interlock kit mounts to your existing electrical panel and eliminates unsafe generator backfeeding situations. It allows you to safely disconnect your panel from the utility feed and switch it over to the generator which is being fed through a new generator breaker.
What HTI does:
Purchase 30 or 50 amp generator (based on your needs)
Install interlock kit on panel
Install 30-50 amp inlet next to the panel
Thoroughly explain to the client how to use the kit
30 AMP* generator with interlock kit will provide you with the ability to power:
Refrigerator or Microwave (not at the same time, alternating)
Ceiling Fan
Few Lights
*Think of this option as hunkering down in one room until the power is fully restored.
50 AMP generator with interlock kit will provide you with:
Refrigerator
Microwave
Small Portable A/C Unit
Ceiling Fan
Few Lights
Option 2: Whole Home Generator
This option is an investment for those who want their entire home to run as if the power never went out. The generator runs on liquid propane or natural gas and sits outside your home. It delivers power directly to your electrical system automatically, whether you’re home or not.
If you’re thinking of investing in a simple or complex generator system, please call 239-244-1484 or email us at chris@1hti.com. We will be more than happy to create a backup power system that is best suited to your needs and budget.
